Welcome back my friend to another episode of the podcast.
Today's episode is going to be a little different.
Instead of our usual topics, I want to take some time to give you a sneak peek into something truly special.
My membership program designed specifically for parents of sensational children, the Sensory Toolbox.
So what exactly is the Sensory Toolbox?
Before we dive in, you might be wondering, what is it?
Well, let me break it down for you.
The Sensory Toolbox, previously called the Food Explorers Membership, is an online monthly membership program created to support parents of children who are experiencing sensory and eating challenges.
Think of it as your go-to resource hub, packed with tools, strategies and insights to help you navigate your child's sensory journey with confidence.
A common struggle many parents face is navigating the complex world of sensory processing.
As an occupational therapist with over a decade of experience, I've seen firsthand the challenges and the frustrations that come with supporting children who have sensory challenges.
While therapy sessions are invaluable, they're often limited in time, especially for parent education, leaving parents feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about how to continue that progress at home.
And this always weighed so heavily on my mind as I was treating patients.
I often found myself wishing I could do more to support parents outside of our sessions to provide them with the extra help they so desperately needed.
So I created the Sensory Toolbox to bridge that gap between therapy sessions and everyday life.
I really wanted to empower parents like you with practical strategies and insights to confidently support your child's sensory journey at home.
Drawing from my own experiences, extensive research and insights gained from working with families just like yours, I've poured my heart and soul into developing this program.
But I don't just want you to take that from me.
Actually, today, as I am writing this episode, a parent sent in a new testimonial that I would just absolutely love to share with you.
Here's what one parent has to say about the Sensory Toolbox.
Your heart to help people shines through all that you do.
I am so impressed with the support you offer, the way you listen to people, and the quick and actionable activities.
But then I also asked her what she would say to someone who is maybe considering joining the Sensory Toolbox.
And she said, you will learn so much.
I had no idea so many factors went into trying a new food.
I have changed the way I introduce food to my boys and my expectations.
Sam is so caring and helpful.
You won't regret joining.
But I know you're also wondering what exactly will you find in the membership?
Well, this is just my favorite topic because I am obsessed with the resources in the membership.
First, you will have unlimited access to an online portal.
When you join, you get unlimited access to a literal treasure trove of trainings, guides and tools covering various topics such as general sensory processing, classroom strategies, feeding information and more.
But, it doesn't just stay stagnant.
Every single month, I also release brand new feeding or sensory content, including mini classes, guides, expert visits and more.
This year, I'm putting a big focus on creating really easy to use resources that you can quickly glance over and implement.
You'll also still get our monthly food play activities.
So food exploration can be a really daunting thing for many parents, which is why I curate monthly food play activities designed to make mealtime a fun and enjoyable experience for both you and your child.
Coming soon, we also get exclusive discounts.
So as a member of the Sensory Toolbox, you'll also have access to these discounts from feeding and sensory brands that I personally love and recommend.
I've been working on reaching out to some brands and finding some new and exciting discounts for you.
But I also know sometimes that you might just have a burning question about something and don't have time to log in for an entire training.
So the membership also has a comprehensive Mealtime Handbook to provide quick answers to common questions.
The really cool thing is that you can actually just put your question in the search bar and look for it.
And if it's not there, you just drop a comment and I'll get back to you ASAP.
But of course, joining a membership can feel really overwhelming initially.
So I also provide you with a couple of resources to help keep you on track.
We have a step-by-step roadmap to guide you through your first 12 weeks as a member of the Sensory Toolbox.
You'll also get monthly rounds up emails to let you know what's new each month.
And if you choose to, you can also sign up for weekly text messages with reminders, tips and motivation.
Now you might be wondering, will the Sensory Toolbox work for me and my child?
It's important to have the right expectations.
Success with the Sensory Toolbox isn't just about quick fixes.
It's about discovering what works best for your child and celebrating every single small step forward.
Progress takes time and patience, but rest assured, I will be here every step of the way to support you and cheer you on.
I will say, one of the biggest roadblocks I see parents struggle with is consistency.
So when you join, one of the things I recommend is actually putting a consistent time in your calendar to utilize the membership so you can maximize your learning experience.
What do wins look like?
Imagine knowing how to confidently navigate and help your child on those tough but inevitable sensory days.
Understanding what sensory input helps your child's body stay regulated on a day-to-day basis and at their just right sensory temperature.
Supporting your child through food exploration activities no matter where their comfort level is with that food.
Your child tasting a food without the fight and choosing to do it on their own.
Strategically choosing foods to introduce that work for your child's body and sensory system.
And being able to intentionally choose strategies to support your child's body when their body isn't feeling just right.
Those are the kinds of wins we look for and celebrate in the membership.
So are you ready to unlock the power of the senses with the Sensory Toolbox?
Well then, I've got some very exciting news for you.
For a very short time, I'm offering an exclusive discount for 10% off your first payment.
And when you choose the annual option, that actually gets you two free months of the Sensory Toolbox this year.
If you're ready to embark on this sensational journey and gain access to a wealth of resources, support and guidance, I really do invite you to join us.
But I know everyone loves a good sneak peek.
So I also wanted to give you a little behind the scene into what kind of resources you can expect to launch in the Sensory Toolbox this year.
In January, we released School Lunch Ideas for Picky Eaters and Children with Feeding Challenges, a brand new ebook designed to help you more easily pack lunches for your sensational eater.
February brought an incredible masterclass called A Parent's Guide to Teaching Self-Regulation Skills to Your Child.
This one is seriously incredible.
As you know, I'm a big fan on the why behind sensory processing, but this training also walks you through the how, how to help you and your child start tuning in to their personal sensory preferences and need.
Trust me, you'll also love the Sensory Thermometer handout.
And there is so much more to come this year.
Members will be keeping an eye out for a safety guide for mealtime, self-regulation cards for you and your child to use together, a training on how to navigate sensory challenges this summer, guides for the dentist and doctor visits, fun fine motor activities, and much more.
Again, you don't want to miss out on all of this, especially not that amazing discount.
Enter Toolbox, all capital T-O-O-L-B-O-X, at checkout to claim it.
Again, the website to join is www.drsamgordman.com forward slash sensory toolbox.
That's www.drsamgordman.com forward slash sensory toolbox.
And I absolutely cannot wait to see you inside.
