About the Host:
Being a parent of a child with sensory challenges isn’t easy. Some days, it feels like you’re walking on eggshells, unsure of what will set off the next meltdown. You’re doing everything you can, but you can’t help wondering if there’s more you could do—or if you’re missing something important.
I’m Sam Goldman, a pediatric occupational therapist and your guide in this sensory journey. I’ve spent over a decade helping parents like you understand their child’s sensory needs and find real-life strategies that actually work. My goal? To help you feel less overwhelmed, more confident, and ready to support your child in a way that feels manageable for your family.
You’re already an amazing parent, and you know your child better than anyone. This podcast is here to give you the tools to make life just a little easier—for both of you.

Hello there, friend.
This episode is a little different.
I wanted to come on and tell you about an extra special event I'm hosting, the first week of February.
I originally planned on hosting a free online workshop for you to provide you with quick tips you could immediately apply at the table.
But I don't know about you.
I'm a little burnt out and tired of webinars and trainings.
My guess is many of you are too.
So instead of a workshop, I've decided to change it up a little.
It's still gonna be free, it's still gonna be online, so you can attend it from anywhere, and you will still come away with tons of great tips and strategies you can start applying today at the table.
But we're gonna make it a little more fun.
Instead, we are gonna be playing a little game.
I want you to think trivia, but the point isn't to come in knowing everything, it's to come and learn.
So we'll do a set of questions, have you guess the answer, and then we'll go through the research-based answers and what I like to recommend based on my personal experience.
So when we're done, you should feel pretty excited about what you can go home and try at mealtime.
I highly recommend that you attend this with anyone else in charge of feeding your child, so your spouse or any grandparents.
This would be especially helpful if you have family that might be a little judgy surrounding how you feed your child.
But that way, everyone leaves on the same page with the same education and you can move forward together.
So all of this is happening Sunday, February 5th at 10 a.m.
Eastern.
To sign up, go to the link in my bio on Instagram at Dr.
Sam Goldman and click Food Explorers Trivia.
This really is not one you want to miss.
It's gonna be so much fun and it will help you really start this new year off right so you can bring the magic back into mealtime.
I'll see you there.
